Devlin

Devlin had ended up for a time in lockdown in a psych ward in the center of the city at what was considered a premier – and very respectable – hospital. Their tiers of mental health care were barely perceptible to the outside world – although this hierarchical and very Orwellian-named system – culminating in High Care – would be – along with the Firewall – what would also be implemented by most governments on earth as a means of population control.

Devlin was a graphic artist back in Detroit and he still liked to wave around some of his prized designs on the bit of contraband he was able to smuggle into High Care – a very small screened ol’ school barely-smart cell phone.
